T45 bottom bracket for Shimano

T45 is sometimes known as ThreadFit82.5, sometimes as Colnago standard. This kit allows you to install Shimano and other 24mm diameter spindle cranks onto your Colnago.

CeramicSpeed ​​​​bearings are installed in cups and are connected through the shell. There are 2 versions: standard and coated bearings. Both have super round CeramicSpeed ​​​​​​balls and hardened steel races. CeramicSpeed ​​coated bearings have an additional attribute: a 3-micron thick metal layer on the races. This addition makes races harder and smoother, reducing drag and increasing durability.

Technical data

The T45 was designed by Colnago to offer the design benefits of oversized bottom bracket shells and the repair benefits of threaded bottom brackets. These shells and pads adapt the shell to be compatible with Shimano, Rotor and others.

The drag "cost" of our standard CeramicSpeed ​​bearings is 0.3-0.04 watts. This is a 75% reduction compared to stock bottom brackets. This is the result of hardened steel races combined with CeramicSpeed ​​balls that are 100% smoother and 15% harder than ceramic competition. They also last longer.

CeramicSpeed ​​​​coated bearings last even longer and have even lower resistance. Durability increases by 60% and resistance decreases by 50% compared to our standard.

All Round Grease is applied to the bearings. It can be replaced with lower-drag Race Day Grease or higher-drag Long Life Grease, which adds some drag but stays in when riding in messy conditions.
