Description

Our first X-Range chainring, which uses narrow jumps between chainrings and a 12-speed, wide-range, 10-tooth starter cassette, is now available for the Rival. This includes new cassettes that feature smooth, precise shifting in ranges that cover road, gravel and everything in between.

TECHNOLOGY

FULL PIN

FULL PIN technology uses eleven lightweight molded sprockets held together by 123 high-strength stainless steel pins. The result: a lightweight, durable cassette featuring SRAM's wide gear range that's perfectly suited to any ride. The open design similar to our X-DOME cassette helps remove mud, resulting in cleaner shifting performance and longer component life.

XDR

The XDR driver body is a universal mounting system for cassettes incorporating gears with fewer than 11 teeth. It allows for lighter, more versatile drivetrains without requiring new rear axle standards, cassette tooling or hub redesigns. The XDR interface is 1.85mm longer than XD and is designed for road hub applications. XDR driver bodies are compatible with all XD cassettes when the cassette is installed with a 1.85mm spacer.
