These tubes are the result of the development that took place for the World Tour tubulars, now made available for daily rides with inner tube clinchers. Made from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), SmarTUBEs can save up to 70% of the weight of a standard butyl chamber and nearly 50% of pocket space, while being more durable.
They are available in a full range of sizes ranging from road to MTB and includes a reinforced version for Gravel or Endurance applications.
These chambers have two great advantages compared to the butyl versions: first of all they reduce the rotating mass where it matters most, the wheels, making your bike quicker and quicker during acceleration and more manageable and smooth uphill.

Thermoplastic polyurethane
Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) is a latest generation plastic material, lighter and more resistant than butyl and with better air retention than latex. It is available in shiny and bright Pirelli yellow to be easily recognisable. Thanks to TPU technology you can save up to 70% weight and up to 50% space compared to a traditional inner tube.

Presta valve
Pirelli SmarTUBE tubes feature a standard Presta valve with a bonded core RVC mechanism with a length of 42mm to be compatible with most rims. The valve is black in color to give your bike a cleaner and more elegant look.
